St. Patrick’s Day in Pittsburgh

Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in Pittsburgh is a city tradition, in which all of its residents come out to be a part of. After moving to Pittsburgh, you will learn all the hot spots throughout the city and where the best locations are to celebrate St. Patty’s Day. However, for this year the local Pittsburgh movers of All My Sons Moving & Storage have put together a list of the best places to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Pittsburgh. And yes, you guessed it, it all kicks off with a parade!

As you may or may not know the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Pittsburgh is the second largest St. Patrick’s Day event in the entire country! Yes, you read that right, COUNTRY! The parade will take place on March 11th starting at 10 a.m. The parade will begin at the Greyhound Bus Station on Liberty Avenue and 11th Street. It will proceed down Grant Street and end on Commonwealth Place.

The parade will have floats, music, food and activities for guests of all ages! Throughout the parade, food will be available to all patrons. If you are looking for a few kid activities after moving to Pittsburgh, the kid friendly festivities will take place from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The kids can enjoy face painting, street performers, and of course the floats!

For those looking for a more adult friendly St. Patrick’s Day experience there will be a bar crawl starting at Excuses Bar and Grill. You can also stop by the Market Square for some delicious restaurant food and drinks. There will be liver performances by Irish bands throughout the afternoon.
