Pittsburgh’s Pick – Best Wall Color of the Year

In case you were not aware, there was a competition for best wall color of the year. Pittsburgh Paints & Stains has named their chosen color of the year for 2017.

The 2017 winner goes by the name of “Silverado,” (MEN7049-5). The color is a smooth, thick purple that pairs very well with grey. Color experts are saying has all the mystery of outer space and yet the tones are organic. If you are moving to Pittsburgh, then you know you have to go get this best wall color before the local movers arrive with your furniture.

Experts take their time choosing the best wall color, and the process is more complex than you may believe. Out of all the possibilities, nine finalist colors were chosen and each was painted in the room of a show house. Experts wandered the rooms taking notes, deciding which color fits best.

Silverado was chosen because it pairs well with grey, which is currently trending color. It also paired well with other trending colors for 2017 that go by the names of Black Magic, Silver Screen and String of Pearls.
